For many young people, the teen years are filled with a yearning for a spiritual identity all their own. At the end of tenth grade in Kehillah High, our 8 th -12 th grade community religious school program, students celebrate Confirmation, a reaffirmation of their commitment to live as Jews. A special ceremony is held at the end of the school year near Shavuot, the festival that marks the receiving of the Torah by Moses at Mount Sinai. This marks another major passage for students, many of whom choose to continue their Jewish education in Kehillah High through the 12th grade.
