Giving
Your generous gifts to Congregation Beth Israel enhance how we experience our Jewish lives. This includes inspiring worship, thought-provoking programming and study, and ways to pursue meaningful personal growth and relationships. By making a financial contribution, you directly contribute to the strength and vibrancy of our community.
Gifts to Beth Israel are also an excellent way to celebrate friends and family members on birthdays, anniversaries, and life cycle moments, as well as a meaningful way to honor the memory of our loved ones.
Here are just a few ways you can give:
Annual Commitments
Each year, we ask our members to pledge a tax-deductible annual membership commitment. We call our $3,000 amount our “sustaining” commitment. If 100% of our members paid this amount each year, we could sustain our annual operating budget without an ongoing yearly campaign. Commitments enable us to balance our budget, strengthen our religious, professional, and administrative staff, and provide the meaningful programming and services we all enjoy and expect.
Share the Load Annual Campaign
Annual commitments cover about 80% of operating costs. Donations to Share the Load help close the gap between membership and the actual operating budget for clergy and staff, a beautiful and safe campus, worship services with a live stream option, religious school, family and adult education, programming, pastoral care, life cycle events, social justice activities, and other general overhead costs.
General Gifts
We welcome general gifts to our funds throughout the year with many options, including our endowments, youth and adult education funds, or clergy discretionary funds.
Tribute Contributions
Tributes are donations to Congregation Beth Israel in honor or memory of their loved ones and friends. When a tribute is made, a card is sent to the person being honored or the person’s family being remembered, and the tribute is published in the Temple Bulletin.
Ner Tamid Legacy Society
Help ensure the strength and success of Congregation Beth Israel for future generations by including the Temple in your estate plans. Become a member of the Ner Tamid Society by designating a percentage of your estate or a portion of your retirement plan. Giving today ensures that our congregation will enjoy many tomorrows.
